Dougherty County Police Department law enforcement officers grappled with 150 crimes against persons in 2020, according to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).

This equals 12 per month in 2020.

Crimes against persons include simple assaults, aggravated assaults, intimidations, kidnappings and abductions, fondling offences and rapes.

Of all types of crime tracked by the NIBRS, simple assault was the most popular crime handled by the Dougherty County Police Department office.

Officers in Dougherty County Police Department were involved in 579 incidents throughout the year.
