Dougherty County Police Department law enforcement officers grappled with 11 crimes against society in 2020, according to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).

Crimes against society include drug equipment violations, drug and narcotic violations, weapon law violations, pornography and obscene materials violations, animal cruelties and assisting or promoting prostitution offenses.

Of all types of crime tracked by the NIBRS, drug and narcotic violation was the most popular crime handled by the Dougherty County Police Department office.

Officers in Dougherty County Police Department were involved in 579 incidents throughout the year.

The NIBRS was designed to provide detail and context around crime stats. Under the previous system, only the most serious crime related to an incident would be logged.
