The Albany Tech Titans will officially kick off the 2022-2023 basketball season on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at ASU HPER Gym on the East Campus with the Lady Titans vs. Chattahoochee Valley Community College starting at 5:30 pm, and the Titan Men vs. Thomas University JV at 7:30 pm. The theme for the week is “LEGACY… IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A TITAN” which was one of Dr. Parker’s frequent quotes.

Homecoming activities are scheduled all week long, November 1 through 5. ATC kickoffs off the week’s events on Monday, October 31, with It’s a Great Day to Jump Off Homecoming.” Events include The ATC Leadership Team “leading” with coffee and doughnuts at 7:45 am; a Celebrity, Cowboy and Cowgirl Dress up; Tiny Titans Sweet Retreat; Bring Your Own Picnic Basket and Picnic on the Lawn with G & S Experience band; Titan Spirit Door Challenge; and an Art Exhibit in the LEC Student Center.

Tuesday, November 1, at 12 noon is “It’s a Great Day to Boom Through the Era with the Titans.”This will include a Legacy Tree Planting – Remember the Titan, Dr. Anthony Parker at 10:00 am; Booming with the Barbers and Cosmos Sequel of an Era Show with DJ Dollar Bill, Program Reunions (alums invited to come view updates to areas on campus), and Titan Spirit Door Challenge Judging.

Wednesday, November 2, is “It’s a Great Day to Be at the Tech” This will include I Love My Tech Block Party on the Quad, Art Jubilee judging, Get your game on at the gaming truck 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, lip sync competition, and chalk on the quad. There will also be a homecoming CAN competition with programs collecting canned goods for the food pantry.

Thursday, “It’s A Great Day to Tailgate” will be the pregame tailgating event for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. There will be an on-campus parade featuring Monroe High and Dougherty High School Bands. Attendees will officially meet the Titans at the tailgate, and Mr. and Ms. ATC and Little Mr. and Miss ATC will be crowned at the games, which start at 5:30 pm. Miss ATC Jayla Monique Gilbert, is a Business Healthcare Technology major and Mr. ATC Antonio James, is a Barbering major.

Homecoming week will end with “It’s A Great Day To Be A Titan” Spirit Day on Friday, November 4. Employees and students are encouraged to wear Titan gear and the college colors, red and black.

This season, the Titans have 4 returning players from last season, with 1 returning starter. The Lady Titans have 6 returning players with 2 returning starters.
