CITY OF NEWTON: Newton County court to begin in February

City of Newton issued the following announcement on Dec. 31. 

The January 2022 term of Newton County court will begin one month later, in February 2022, due to rising rate of infection of COVID-19.

The regular, civil and special criminal trial session previously scheduled to begin Jan. 10 in the Horace J. Johnson Judicial Center will now start one month later.

Jurors summonsed for Jan. 10 to not need to appear at that time and will receive a new notice.
