CITY OF NEWTON: Newton County offices closed Monday for New Years

City of Newton issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.

Newton County government offices will close at noon Friday, Dec. 31 and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 4 in observance of New Year’s.

The offices will be closed half a day Friday, and all day Monday, Jan. 3.

Newton County’s Trash Collection Convenience Centers will be closed Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan.1. The centers will be open Monday, Jan. 3.

The Georgia Sex Offender Registry shows 51 registered sex offenders are living in Terrell County as of March.

According to the Registry, 51 of Georgia’s sex offenders live in Terrell County as of the week ending May 2.

Dougherty County is home to 366 sex offenders registered as of the week ending May 2, according to the Georgia Sex Offender Registry.
