COUNTY OF DOUGHERTY: Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit (ADDU) Search Leads to Drug Warrant

County of Dougherty issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

On January 28, 2022, members of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit (ADDU), along with assistance from the Albany Gang Unit, conducted an operation in the 1700 block of Edgerly Avenue. The operation was geared towards drugs being sold at two loca- tions in the area. After conducting two hours of surveillance, search warrants were obtained and executed at two homes in the area.

During the execution of the search warrants, the following items were seized:

  • 2.328 pounds of Spice
  • 124.8 grams of Marijuana

Interviews were conducted at the ADDU and the Lily Pad. Due to the targeted individual, Ant- wan Lamons, not being on the scene, warrants will be issued out on him for the following charges:

  • Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Spice with the Intent to Distribute

This is an ongoing investigation.
