COUNTY OF NEWTON: EMA hosts Emergency Preparedness Class

County of Newton issued the following announcement on May 31. 

Newton County’s Emergency Management Agency is hosting an informational class on emergency preparedness in June. There will be two chances to take the class, on June 29 from noon to 1 p.m. or June 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both classes will be in the Turner Lake Complex, 6185 Turner Lake Road, Covington.

The classes will teach how to make a home emergency plan, how to prepare your home for an emergency and how to receive information alerts through Code Red.

The classes are free and open to all.
