COUNTY OF NEWTON: FY2023 Budget Meeting, Public Hearings cancelled

County of Newton issued the following announcement on June 7. 

The Board of Commissioners meetings regarding the Proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Budget scheduled for Tuesday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 14 have been cancelled.

The scheduled 5 p.m. Special Called Meeting and 6 p.m. Public Hearing are being rescheduled due to an error in public advertising.

The following are the new meeting dates and times to be held in the Newton County Historic Courthouse:

Proposed Budget Presentation 

June 21 – 5 p.m.

Public Hearing No. 1

June 21 – 6 p.m.

Public Hearing No. 2

June 28 – 6 p.m.

Budget Adoption 

June 28 – 6:30 p.m.
