County of Worth issued the following announcement.

The Worth County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing/called meeting at the Building & Zoning Department at 204 E. Franklin Street Suite 16 Sylvester, Ga. 31791 at 6:00 pm on May 5, 2022.

  • Proposed amendment to the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) Book Appendix I Zoning Ordinance (Solar Energy); Article II; Section 2.02 Definitions, Large Scale Ground Mounted SES; Section 22.04 General Requirements for all Ground Mounted SES, (F.5.) Decommissioning; Section 22.08 Conditional Use Review, (3.h.) Further Considerations

At the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to be submitted to the Chairman and County Commissioners.

The Chairman and Commissioners will hold a public hearing, followed by a regular meeting on the third (3rd) floor of the Courthouse located at 201 N Main St. Sylvester, Ga. 31791 in the Commission Board Room at 7:00 pm on May 19, 2022.  At that time, the Commissioners will hear public comments and consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission and make their decision on the zoning application.
