FOIA Request to Dougherty County Election Department Regarding Ballot Counting Methods on October 29, 2024. The Albany Standard, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Georgia Open Records Act § 50.18.70 et seq.

The request specifically asks for information about the methods being used to count votes in the upcoming election. If the ballots are being counted manually, the Albany Standard also requested an estimated number of people who will be working on election night.
