The request, issued by Albany Standard, a media organization committed to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, sought information about the methods used by the department to count votes.
Specifically, Albany Standard requested a list of methods employed for vote counting. If manual counting is being used, the organization asked for an estimated number of people who would be working on election night.
