TRMC is taking its cardiovascular service line to the next level. The hospital’s Medical East Unit and Respiratory Care Unit will merge to become our first-ever Cardiac Step Down Unit (CSDU)

The first day of operation for this new unit will be February 22, 2023. The CSDU will be located on the third floor of Tift Regional Medical Center, directly above the Heart and Vascular Center.

CSDU will serve inpatients that require a higher level of care for all cardiovascular diseases and some respiratory diagnoses.

CSDU will work in close proximity with the Heart and Vascular Center and their providers. The goal is to deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to all patients.
