Karen Elizabeth Timmerman is a native of Terrell County and a professional artist that has been dressing up downtown Dawson by painting shop windows for the Christmas season with adorable festive artwork. The results have been met with such positive praise and lifted the holiday spirits of our community. We certainly hope this will become a seasonal tradition to beautify downtown Dawson.
Growing up it was her passion to become a good wife and mother and artist. She has been married to Tommy Timmerman for 32 years, has two grown sons and one grandson. She has enjoyed teaching art to students for over 25 years. Now finally, she is fulfilling one more goal owning and operating her own art studio, producing commercial artworks, selling her artwork which range in mediums from acrylic and watercolor to chalk, oil, pastels, pencil works, floral arrangements and large mural paintings.
