Students will now need to pay for all school meals (breakfast and lunch). Meal costs for school year 2022-2023 as well as the Family Meal Application and Menus are listed below.

Cobb County school administration has also adopted a limited charge policy:

  • Students at school without money are allowed up to $7.05 in charges at elementary school and $5.20 at middle school.
  • Charges are not allowed for a la carte, adults, or at high school.
  • For the students that have reached the charge limit, an alternate meal (such as a peanut butter sandwich and milk or a cheese sandwich and milk) will be provided. No alternate meal will be provided at breakfast.

Applying for Free or Reduced-Price Meal Benefits

  • Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals must complete an application to receive them. All other students will pay full price for their meals.
  • We encourage all families to apply before the start of the school year or as soon as possible.
  • School meals must be paid for until applications are processed and approved.
  • Eligible families could receive free breakfast and lunch OR at a reduced price (breakfast for $0.30 and lunch for $0.40) depending on federal guidelines.
  • Eligible families can also use their notification letter as proof of eligibility in the meal program for discounts on testing, services, camps, and various application fees.
  • Please view the application below to apply for this valuable benefit.
