0Comments

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, around 11:20 p.m., a Tifton Police Officer was flagged down at 14th Street E and Tift Avenue by Elijah Robinson, 18 of Tifton, stating that he had been robbed at Fulwood Park. Robinson stated he was sitting in Fulwood Park, talking to a friend, when a white male wearing a black mask, black jacket and jogging pants approached with what appeared to be an assault weapon and demanded money.

Officers responded to the area and were able to locate Quinnard Walker, 18 of TyTy, and Jaylen M. Green, 17 of TyTy. Detectives determined that Robinson was to meet Walker and Green at Fulwood Park for a drug deal. Walker and Green made plans to rob Robinson, and Green robbed Robinson taking his iPhone, cash and drugs. Detectives also confirmed that the weapon used during the robbery was a BB gun.

Jaylen M. Green was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of possession of marijuana. Quinnard Walker was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery. Both are being held in Tift County Jail.

The Tifton Police Department has increased patrol in the area and will continue to do so to help prevent future incidents.

Tifton Police Department Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, and it does not appear to be connected to the previous robbery in Fulwood Park that was reported last year. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tifton Police Department Tip Line at (229) 391-3991 or Detective Sgt. Sydney Saylor at (229) 382-3132.
