Sumter Pink Walk for Cancer Set for October 22

The Phoebe Sumter Foundation has announced that its Sumter Pink Walk for Cancer will be held in-person on Saturday, October 22, 2022. The annual event, which raises money for local cancer patients, will take place at the Mattie H. Marshall Cross Country Trail, located at 112 Odom Road in Americus.

Phoebe Posthumously Honors Outstanding Critical Care Nurse

In an emotional ceremony in the waiting area just outside one of the intensive care units at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, the family of Taylor Delk recently accepted a DAISY Award in his honor. Taylor, a devoted critical care nurse who died unexpectedly in July, became the first Phoebe nurse to receive the prestigious award posthumously.
