Lee County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on July 25.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office would like to inform the public that Alexander Arevelo was arrested on 07/24/2021. Arevelo is currently housed at the Lee County Jail. Arevelo had warrants out of Lee County for Aggravated Assault and additional warrants out of Dougherty County for theft by taking motor vehicle and theft by receiving. Arevelo attempted to flee from Lee County Sheriff's Office Deputies and was subsequently apprehended. Additional charges were issued for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement.
