City of Albany issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.
Please be aware that our customers are receiving Scam Calls regarding the collection of past due utility bills. These calls are being placed from this phone number, 229-928-8460.
Please be advised that Albany Utilities does not call customers for the collection of payment for any utility bills. Please disregard these calls. Do not give the caller any information regarding your account, address, or any personal information. If you continue to receive these calls, please let us know.
