Sumter County Middle School issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
Sumter County Middle School Principal Todd Vickery joined Sumter County Middle School's FFA Members as they participated in the community yard sale in downtown Plains on August 25th, 2021. Students shared facts about locally produced honey, homemade soaps, and the goals of pollinator protection with over 250 people. Vendors from Plains, Americus, and surrounding communities came together to sell gently used items, novelties, fashion pieces, and homemade treasures. The event was organized by Friends of Jimmy Carter. The Sumter County FFA Program would like to thank Mrs. Ellen Harris and Mrs. Kim Fuller for the opportunity to participate.
