City of Newton issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.
The Newton County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Called Meeting Thursday Jan. 27, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Newton County Historic Courthouse, 1124 Clark Street, Covington.
The Board of Commissioners (BOC) will enter into Executive Session for matters of personnel before reconvening in Regular Session. The public is invited and the Regular Session portions are open to the public.
