ABRAHAM BALDWIN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE: ABAC Begins Four-Day Week on May 15

2021

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College issued the following announcement on Apr. 12.

Faculty and staff at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will return to a four-day work week beginning May 15 and continuing through July 23.

Vice President of Finance and Operations Deidra Jackson said the four-day work week schedule during the summer months will be used for the third year in a row.

“Employees can enjoy a three-day weekend with their families during this time frame and closing the campus for three days each week will save ABAC money on energy costs during the hot months of the summer,” Jackson said.

“All classes with a very limited number of exceptions will be scheduled on a Monday through Thursday basis.  The entire ABAC campus will be closed on Fridays.”

ABAC’s hours of operation on the four-day week schedule will be from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Summer term classes begin at ABAC on May 31.  The fall semester begins on Aug. 15.
