2021 has 4.9% of Lee County residents unemployed

Lee County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 787 people out of the 32,547 living in Lee County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lee County has increased compared to the 4.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lee County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 15,315 people who had a job during that time, 161 were employed in the Armed Forces and 15,154 belonged to the civilian labor force.
