Lee County School District welcomed 6,001 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 6,001 students enrolled in Lee County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53% of them were male, and 47% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 62% of the Lee County School District's total enrollment.

Lee County School District roughly covers eight schools within Lee County and has a main office in Leesburg.

Among the eight schools in Lee County School District, Lee County High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,388 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Chronic absenteeism in Georgia has declined from its 2022 peak of 25%, but it still remains above pre-pandemic levels (11.8%). In 2024, about 20.7% of all students in the state missed 10% or more of their classes.
