Austin Scott, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 8th District since 2011, has been actively discussing various initiatives and events through his tweets. Scott shared on March 28, 2025, his attendance at the swearing-in of Doug, the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Scott expressed his confidence in Doug's leadership in improving veterans' care and reducing inefficiencies, stating, "It was an honor to attend @SecVetAffairs swearing-in this week! Doug has been my friend for over 20 years and is one of the finest people I have ever met."
