The Albany State University (ASU) Darton College of Health Professions will host a virtual student interest meeting for the new Master of Science in Athletic Training degree program on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 p.m.
Participants can click here to join the virtual meeting.
The new degree program is slated to begin in the 2023 summer semester on May 30, 2023. The program will be delivered in a hybrid format over six semesters.
Anyone who is interested in the program may attend the interest meeting. Current and previous students, and community members are encouraged to join. All applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree to qualify for the program.
Specific course requirements will be discussed during this meeting, along with entrance requirements, curriculum, and accreditation requirements.
According to the National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA), over 70% of athletic trainers have earned a master's degree or higher. A master's degree in athletic training from ASU will prepare students with the knowledge and skill-set to succeed in a career treating athletes in the sports medicine industry.
Those who cannot attend the virtual interest meeting but would like to receive information on the program can request information at www.asurams.edu, or can email MATProgram@asurams.edu.
